Project Sunshine for Japan

A group of artists, graphic designers and art connoisseurs, who are looking forward to organize an international poster exhibition, in association with some internationally organizations of repute. The goal of this exhibition is to offer Japan a hand of support so that the nation can recover from the aftermath of the triple disaster (earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster). For this, we invited artists, painters, graphic designers and writers to attend with their contribution on the issue of the tragic events in Japan.

This project was founded by Mansoureh Rahnama in 2011 to communicate the relevance of the triple disaster. On March 11, 2011, where more than 20,000 people died. More than half a million people had to leave their hometowns because of the worst nuclear disaster in the world since the Chernobyl disaster in 1986.

The founder of the project with her fellow campaigners and supporters organised several exhibitions, book publications, workshops and lectures between 2011 and 2014 around the world, which were associated with great publicity and recognition.

“This project helped Japan through a difficult time”.
